Dr Slotkin, School of Management Teacher of the Year

Dr. Michael Slotkin has done it again. He was named Florida Tech Student Leadership’s School of Management Teacher of the Year in April 2003. This is the
fourth year that Dr. Slotkin has received that honor from his students. The other years were 2001, 2000 and 1999. Congratulations, Dr. Slotkin! Dr.
Slotkin’s other Florida Tech awards include: -Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, September 2002. -Florida Tech Chapter of Future Educators of America
(FEA), 3rd Place Teaching Excellence Award, November 2000. -Granted Honorary Membership in the Phi Eta Sigma Freshmen Honor Society, April 1998. Among Dr.
Slotkin’s research interests are strategic trade and commercial policies; economics of the environment; and welfare reform and public assistance. He
advises students who are interested in business and environmental studies. Dr. Slotkin recently returned from a two-week excursion to Hungary, where he and
fellow SOM instructors Dr. Alex Vamosi and Dr. Karen Chambliss participated in an international project to promote ecotourism.
