Florida Tech Aeronautics Symposium Features National Speakers

– Florida Tech’s School of Aeronautics will hold an Aviation Symposium during Homecoming 2004 on Thursday, Feb. 19, starting at 8:30 a.m. Industry leaders
will provide presentations on a variety of topics in this annual event, which is open to the public at no cost.

Speakers include Robert M. Ball, executive director of the Southwest Florida International Airport, and Ron Seymore, a consultant with Environmental
Science Associates, who will speak on airports. Gil Wolin, publisher emeritus of Business & Commercial Aviation, will speak on business aviation; and
Byron Bohlman, of Embraer Market Intelligence, will speak on regional airlines. All presentations will be in the Skurla Building, Room A110.

The School of Aeronautics Symposium luncheon will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Denius Student Center’s Hartley Room. Jacques Drappier, senior director
of training and flight operations support, Airbus Industries, will be the guest speaker. He will offer an insider’s view on the development of the Airbus
A380 and its unique challenges and benefits. This luncheon includes the presentation of the annual George W. Skurla Award and costs $15.
