Falcons Earn 2nd Place in National AViation Safety Conference

– Florida Tech’s Falcon Flight Team recently took second place in the National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA) Safety and Flight Evaluation
Conference. It took place earlier in November in Jacksonville, Fla.

The team of 16 competing students earned first place in the message drop competition. Their captain was junior Ryan Plumeau. Dr. Donna Forsyth Wilt,
Florida Tech associate professor of aeronautics, is the Falcon’s faculty advisor.

Aviation-related undergraduate degrees in the Florida Tech College of Aeronautics currently include six bachelor of science degrees. Three of the
bachelor’s degrees have a flight option. The university also offers four master’s degrees and a doctoral degree in science education with a concentration
in aeronautics.
