Researcher Awarded Scholarship for Exemplary Work

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Rebecca Caldwell, research and data services manager in Florida Tech’s Office for Advancement, received the Association of Professional
Researchers for Advancement (APRA) scholarship for exemplary work in her field.

“It’s nice to see people recognized so other people can appreciate their achievements,” said Thomas G. Fox, senior vice president for advancement.

This scholarship gave Caldwell the opportunity to attend APRA’s 20th Anniversary Fall Conference in Winter Park, Fla.

Caldwell’s research helps Florida Tech cultivate relationships with potential donors and other friends of the university. Staying current on trends, tools
and professional opportunities is important to Caldwell.

“At the APRA conference, I learned more about higher education research. I attended workshops on capital campaigns and now I’m involved with our 50th
Anniversary Campaign,” said Caldwell.
