New Falcon Flying Club Membership Takes Off

MELBOURNE, FLA. —Supported by Florida Institute of Technology’s F.I.T. Aviation, the Falcon Flying Club, in its infancy, has already shown its strong appeal to aviation enthusiasts.

The club, created in April last year, set its sights to sign 50 new members in its first year. Recently, well ahead of the goal, the club signed its 50th member.

Enrollment is open to anyone in the community 16 years and older. Benefits of the club include reduced aircraft rental and instructor rates, reduced pilot shop supplies and zero deductible insurance. New members pay an initial fee of $500 and $50 every month thereafter.

“When we began the FFC, we wondered if it would even work in today’s depressed economy and aviation environment,” said Nick Frisch, F.IT. Aviation director. “FFC membership has exceeded expectations,” he added.
