Foosaner Education Center Hosts Student Art Sale May 2

Jazz Friday, EGAD Art Walk Also Part of Busy, Artsy Friday

MELBOURNE, FLA. — The Renee Foosaner Education Center hosts a Spring Student Art Sale from 5:30-8 p.m. Friday, May 2.

The biannual sale provides an opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind art created by Education Center students and instructors. The one-night sale will feature contemporary work across many media, including functional and decorative ceramics, jewelry, and more.

Prices range from $15 to $50 and the students receive the full proceeds from the sale of their items. Art may be paid for by cash or check. For more information, call the Education Center at (321) 674-8923 or write dagostini@fit.edu.

Jazz Friday also starts at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the Foosaner Art Museum. Patrons are invited to listen to jazz from Ron Pirtle as they view the museum’s current exhibition, Langdon Kihn: An American Story. Admission is free. Wine and beer will be available for purchase.

And the Eau Gallie Arts District’s First Friday Art Walk is held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday. The district’s galleries, shops, boutiques and restaurants will be open, and there will be refreshments, artist appearances and demonstrations, live music in the Rotary Band Shell at Eau Gallie Square, and more.
