Florida Tech to Announce Launch of Jet Dragster Team, Unveil Vehicle

WHAT: Announcement of affiliation between Florida Institute of Technology and Larsen Motorsports and unveiling of the Florida Tech Jet Dragster.

WHEN: 2-3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29

WHERE: Panther Plaza and Panthereum on the Florida Tech campus in Melbourne.

WHO: Dr. Anthony J. Catanese, President and CEO, Florida Tech; and Elaine and Chris Larsen, founders of Larsen Motorsports.

MORE: The event begins at 2 p.m. with displays of three jet dragsters and other racing equipment on Panther Plaza, as well as the Florida Tech hauler/trailer. Complimentary hot dogs and ice cream will be offered. At 2:30 p.m., the announcements get underway in the adjacent Panthereum. At approximately 2:40 p.m., the Florida Tech dragster will be unveiled, and Catanese, the Larsens and Florida Tech jet dragster driver Shea Holbrook will be available for photos and individual media interviews until 3 p.m.
