Women’s Business Centers Become weVENTURE as Network Grows in Region

New Name Reflects Expansion in Reach, Mission

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Florida Institute of Technology has changed the name of its Women’s Business Center to weVENTURE. The new reflects a growing regional network of business centers across Central Florida, including locations in Melbourne, Rockledge and Orlando.

Reflecting an expansion of the overall reach and mission of the centers, the new brand also mirrors the organization’s more tailored approach to its communities, with each location having its own unique focus based on the entrepreneurial development needs of local women.

weVENTURE will seek to raise the profile and influence of women entrepreneurs through its network of business centers. The centers will also provide programming and resources geared toward increasing financial fluency, achieving access to capital, providing targeted and strategic business mentoring services and inspiring young entrepreneurs.

weVENTURE also will continue to offer unique tools, customized client consultations and plans, critical resource referrals and senior-level mentoring services through its IGNITE 360TM mentoring program that propels new entrepreneurs and business owners toward sustainable growth.

“Serving clients from all industry sectors and from startup to growth, weVENTURE will amplify the economic impact of women entrepreneurs by helping them accelerate growth and job creation,” said weVENTURE Executive Director Beth Gitlin. “Our community, region and state benefit when ‘womenpreneurs’ succeed.”
