weVENTURE Hosts Strong Coffee, Strong Women Networking and Leadership Event
Gathering Scheduled for March 24 at Cocoa Civic Center
MELBOURNE, FLA. — weVENTURE, a Central Florida-based organization launched at Florida Institute of Technology that is focused on accelerating sustainable business growth for women entrepreneurs, is hosting “Strong Coffee, Strong Women” with Pamper Your Mind therapist Emily Tonn, RMHCI.
The bi-monthly gathering, with the theme, “Mastering Self-Talk for Dynamic Leadership,” will run 8:30-10 a.m. Thursday, March 24 at the Cocoa Civic Center, 430 Delannoy Ave. It is open to the public.
In addition to networking with Brevard County business leaders and professionals, attendees will learn how different communication styles are associated with certain personality types and the importance of thinking through your internal and external communication methods. Tonn will also share strategies on how to best sort stresses and strengthen personal and professional relationships, while nurturing growth and development. The presentation will conclude by demonstrating how “dumping” certain stresses, such as the things one cannot control, is a critical component to both dynamic leadership and healthy relationships across all areas of life.
Tonn is an experienced counselor at Pamper Your Mind, LLC in Indian Harbour Beach. She specializes in facilitating healing, clarity and balanced lifestyles for professional women and their families. She has also worked in various corporate environments in human resource and general business management, and training and staff development, and has experience with mergers and acquisitions.
“We are excited to bring a fresh perspective to this month’s Strong Coffee, Strong Women, focusing more on the mental game of business,” said weVENTURE Melbourne Director Wanda Lipscomb-Vásquez. “This is often an area that business professionals push aside, but in order to be successful in business, our mental state needs to be strong, as well.”
