Pottery, Watercolors, Drawing
Among Classes Starting Sept. 13

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Registration is now underway for fall art classes and workshops at Florida Institute of Technology’s Renee Foosaner Education Center in the Eau Gallie Arts District of Melbourne.

The new term, which will feature one-, two- and three-day workshops and once-a-week classes lasting 5 to 10 weeks, starts Sept. 13 and runs through Nov. 19. A wide variety of traditional and non-traditional studio courses in media including pottery, sculpture, watercolor, acrylic, photography and drawing will be available. Classes will be offered for children and adults at all skill levels.

Pre-registration is required for all classes and workshops. An early registration discount of 10 percent will be in effect until Sept. 6.

Among the workshops will be Yoga and Figure Drawing. Offered monthly, each session begins with a cleansing yoga practice of fundamental postures and breathing techniques geared toward getting creative energy flowing. Participants will then draw a live, clothed model.

Among the classes scheduled to be offered are Experimental Oil Painting, Wheelthrowing and Beyond, and Mixed Media. Young artists can experience Pottery for Kids, Words of Art and others.

Classes are offered in the mornings, afternoons and evenings.
