Florida Tech Fall Commencement
Set for Saturday, Dec. 17 at Clemente

WHAT: Florida Institute of Technology is holding 2016 Fall Commencement ceremonies for undergraduate and graduate students from the Melbourne campus, online programs and off-site locations.

WHEN: 9:30 a.m. undergraduate ceremony; 2 p.m. graduate ceremony, Saturday, Dec. 17

WHERE: Charles and Ruth Clemente Center on the Florida Tech campus, 150 W. University Blvd., Melbourne

WHO: Florida Institute of Technology President T. Dwayne McCay will lead his first commencement ceremonies since being inaugurated in July. Harris Corp. Chairman, President and CEO William Brown will offer the keynote address at the undergraduate ceremony, and Dr. McCay will offer keynote remarks at the graduate ceremony.

MORE: Students from two dozen states and 42 countries will receive diplomas during the ceremonies. The undergraduate ceremony will feature 291 students. A total of 529 students will receive master’s and doctoral degrees in the afternoon session. In total, the university will bestow 1,585 degrees for summer and fall 2016.
