Florida Tech Aberdeen Establishes Delta Mu Delta Honor Society Chapter

MELBOURNE, FLA. — Florida Institute of Technology’s extended studies site at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, is proud to announce it has been approved as the Epsilon Eta chapter of Delta Mu Delta, the international honor society recognizing and promoting achievement in business.

Florida Tech Aberdeen students with high academic achievement in eligible degree programs will be accepted with a lifetime membership. Inducted students will benefit from access to networking connections, acknowledgement for federal employment, professional development opportunities, and scholarship programs.

“Honor societies bring distinction to the hard work students have done to earn their degrees,” said Edward Haberek Jr., Aberdeen site director and an associate professor of business. “Honor society recognition can help resumes stand out and can also qualify students for higher entry positions with the federal government.”

Once accepted for membership, students receive a certificate and Delta Mu Delta Key.

Founded in 1913, Delta Mu Delta was incorporated in 1952 under the non-profit laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Admitted to membership in the Association of College Honor Societies in 1953, DMD was affiliated with the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs in 1992 and became honor society for ACBSP-accredited programs at the baccalaureate and graduate levels.

Delta Mu Delta has over 300 chapters and 150,000 members nationally.
