Free, Monthly Autism-Related Workshops; Scott Center Research is June Topic

MELBOURNE, FLA. – Florida Institute of Technology’s School of Psychology offers free monthly workshops of particular interest to parents, educators and professionals who deal with the issues of autism. They are scheduled from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Scott Center for Autism Treatment
Seminar Room.

The June 23 workshop will be on current research at the Scott Center. Topics and presenters include:

    Computer Instruction as a Supplementary Tool in Intensive Behavioral Intervention Programs – Genevieve Coxon
    An Evaluation of Measurement Procedures Employed by Specialists – Ashley Lugo
    Teaching a Child Diagnosed with Autism Syndrome Disorder to Play Multiple Songs on a Piano – Alexander Lorenzo
    Effects of Multiple Treatments on Pica Behavior – Tabitha Bond
    Food Selectivity – Janelle Allison
    Food Refusal – Jessica Sparling

Workshops are held in the Seminar Room, located on the second floor of the Scott Center for Autism Treatment at the south end of the Florida Tech campus. Parking is available off Psychology Place, near University Blvd.
