Womens Business Center Receives State Farm Support for Financial Literacy Training

MELBOURNE, FLA.—At the Florida Institute of Technology Women’s Business Center’s (WBC) “A Gathering of Interesting Women,” on Sept. 13, the organization received $1,000 from the State Farm Foundation. The funding supports WBC’s Make Your Mark program, which will help train women in financial literacy, as well as in long-term financial and retirement planning.

The gathering, held several times a year, offers women the opportunity to meet and network with other women in the area’s business community through WBC’s Networking for Women program.

The Florida Small Business Development Center at Brevard Community College and the Melbourne Regional Chamber of East Central Florida Women of Excellence Initiative help sponsor the gathering.

The event was held on the Florida Tech campus.
