Enjoy Culture, Entertainment, Food at Sixth Annual International Festival Feb. 25

MELBOURNE, FLA.—Entertainers will share their cultural talents, and hand-made craft and food vendors will do their part in Florida Institute of Technology’s Sixth Annual International Festival on Saturday, Feb. 25, from noon to 5 p.m. at the university’s outdoor Panthereum, located off Country Club Drive. Admission is free.

Once again, community singers, dancers and musicians join with Florida Tech international student organizations to present a colorful lineup of ethnic entertainment. For example, musicians and dancers will represent the Brevard Indonesian Angklung & Dance Group and Israeli folk dance in L’Ahavat Tzion. Also displaying their national colors will be the Philippines Cultural Dance Association, the Brazilian martial arts-dance combination of Capoeira Karkara and newcomers Fore Sacre from Guinea, West Africa. Among those joining in will be Florida Tech’s all-faculty rock ‘n roll band TWITCHY, the Caribbean Students Association, Indian Students Association, United Arab Emirates Student Association, Florida Tech College Players, African Students Association, Indian Students Association, Saudi Student Union, Chinese Student Association and Florida Tech Belly Dancers. In addition, the Florida Tech Panther Pan Symphony will debut alongside the Florida Tech Jazz Syndicate and veteran student groups Echo Boomerz and Street Dance Club.
