Dr. Erin Moeser-Whittle Joins the Institute for Cross Cultural Management as a Research Scientist

Dr. Erin Moeser-Whittle will begin her new role as a research scientist with the Institute for Cross Cultural Management (ICCM) at Florida Tech in February. Moeser-Whittle comes to the institute from the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) where she performed research in the areas of equal opportunity, diversity management and cross-cultural competence. She served as a research scientist and the head of the DEOMI simulation training lab.

“We are happy that Erin will be joining us at ICCM” said Dr. Griffith, Director of the Institute. “Her experience with the Department of Defense in the area of cross cultural competence will strengthen our ongoing research efforts. In addition, her expertise will ensure the training we develop will be based on sound scientific evidence.”

Moeser-Whittle’s responsibilities at ICCM will include conducting research on the assessment and training of cross-cultural competence and the development of culture-specific databases for the Department of Defense. Moeser-Whittle will also take a lead role in developing and conducting corporate workshops in global leadership and global negotiations. In addition, she will develop a professional certification in global leadership for the Institute.

The mission of the Institute for Cross Cultural Management is to develop leaders and organizations to succeed in the global environment through evidence-based research and programs. The ICCM works with its military and corporate clients to provide solutions to challenges that affect daily overseas conduct such as cross-cultural conflict as well as building, maintaining and repairing trust in multicultural work groups. The ICCM also focuses on strategic issues such as expatriation/ repatriation, cross cultural negotiation, and global leadership.
