Foosaner Art Museum Presents Florida Tech Jazz During First Friday Art Walk, Feb. 1

MELBOURNE , FLA.—The Foosaner Art Museum, Florida Institute of Technology, presents the Florida Tech Jazz Syndicate with Capt. Winston Scott Feb. 1, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Former astronaut Scott, the Florida Tech senior vice president for external relations and economic development, plays trumpet.

The Florida Tech Jazz Syndicate consists of Scott, David Jarkey on piano, Ashley Ferguson on saxophone, Ian Koss on bass and Reid Siljestrom on drums.

Jazz Friday at the Foosaner Art Museum allows visitors to listen to live jazz as they view the current exhibitions for free. The exhibition on display during this Jazz Friday event will be I Am Nature: Paintings by Leslie Wayne, through March 17. See more of her work at http://www.foosanerartmuseum.org.

The Renee Foosaner Education Center, part of the museum, participates in the Eau Gallie Arts District’s (EGAD) First Friday Art Walk, the first Friday of each month. Hands-on activities and tours of the art studios where workshops and classes are held are offered in conjunction with the Art Walk.
