Foosaner Art Museum Features Florida Today Photojournalist Rubadoux at Museum Monday

MELBOURNE, FLA.—The Foosaner Art Museum, Florida Institute of Technology, features Museum Monday on March 25, at 10 a.m., in the Harris Community Auditorium. The lecture will feature the work of Craig Rubadoux,

a photojournalist with Florida Today and USA Today for the past 23 years.

Rubadoux specializes in commercial and fine art photography and his extensive travel is evident in his work. The work of Rubadoux, who also freelances for other major newspapers and publications, has been published by Newsweek and U.S. News & World Report and has been featured on the cover of LIFE magazine.

A two-time Pulitzer Prize nominee, Rubadoux was born in Sarasota, Fla., and has been a resident of the Space Coast for more than 40 years, where he studied photographic technology at Brevard Community College. Among his many honors are Central Florida Press Club awards, Florida Press Club awards, Florida Society of Newspaper Editors awards and three Best of Gannett awards.

Museum Monday is a community outreach program that focuses on art and creativity in various forms. Each free program is held on the fourth Monday of every month, January through May. Light refreshments are served.

Hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m.; and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays are free all day.

Admission: Adults $5; seniors, children and students with I.D. $2; free for Museum members and for faculty, staff, and students of Florida Institute of Technology. Special rates and tours are available for groups of eight or more; schedule by calling 674-8919 at least two weeks in advance.
