Foosaner Art Museum Presents Latin Jazz May 3; Free at First Friday Art Walk

MELBOURNE, FLA.—The Foosaner Art Museum, Florida Institute of Technology, presents flamenco guitarist Don Soledad May 3, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The concert will be held during the Eau Gallie Arts District’s (EGAD) First Friday Art Walk.

Jazz Friday at the Foosaner Art Museum allows visitors to listen to live jazz as they view the current exhibitions for free. The exhibition on display will be “Leon Herschtritt: Photography” through May 12. See more of his work at http://www.foosanerartmuseum.org.

Soledad’s original compositions bring alive the romance and allure of Spain and appeal to audiences of all ages. He released his second album Soluna last December. The new album is a mélange of traditional flamenco, classical and Latin jazz guitar pieces with modern harmonies, sophisticated melodies and background beats.

The Renee Foosaner Education Center, part of the museum, participates in EGAD’s First Friday Art Walk, which is held every first Friday of each month. Hands-on activities will be available, too.

The Foosaner Art Museum is located at 1463 Highland Ave. in the Eau Gallie Arts District of Melbourne. For more information, call Tina Murray at (321) 674-8919.
