Homecoming Fest 2013 Welcomes All to Join Alumni, Starting Oct. 25

MELBOURNE, FLA.—Florida Institute of Technology’s Homecoming Fest 2013 features the band, Taking Back Sunday, Oct. 25, during the fest’s 

6 p.m.-1 a.m. street party in Downtown Melbourne. The popular rock band from Long Island, N.Y., is signed to Warner Brothers Records. The band takes its melodic hardcore sound from bands like Lifetime, Endpoint, and Sunny Day Real Estate.

The first opening act will be Boxelder, on stage around 10 p.m. The concert will take place on Route 192, just east of the railroad tracks. Food and drink vendors will line the streets. Viewing is first come, first serve. Arrive early to ensure a good spot to see the band.

This free homecoming concert is sponsored by Florida Tech’s Student Government Association (SGA), the Florida Tech Alumni Association (FTAA) and Main Street Partners and is open to the public.
