Florida Tech Artist in Residence Christian Tamburr Presents Music Business Workshop and Performance

The Business of Music Colloquium, March 11

MELBOURNE, FLA.—The Florida Institute of Technology Artist in Residence Christian Tamburr, internationally known vibraphonist and pianist, will present a Music Business Workshop and Interactive Performance for local musicians, students and music lovers on March 11, at 7 p.m. in the Gleason Performing Arts Center.

This event, free to the public, will feature music from the Christian Tamburr Quartet and a behind the scenes lecture on what it takes to be successful in the ever-changing music industry. Topics will include best practices for live performance execution, band management, touring, promotion, social media marketing, and recording. The evening will end with an open Q&A session with Christian Tamburr and the band.

Tamburr, who grew up in Brevard County, is an award-winning musician who tours internationally. He currently leads the critically acclaimed Christian Tamburr Quartet, which performs around the world, and has worked as musical director for Julio Iglesias, and Cirque du Soleil. He currently resides in Las Vegas performing nightly at the Rose.Rabbit.Lie production at the Cosmopolitan Hotel.
