Women’s Business Center at Florida Institute of Technology Hosts Impact Business & Leadership Summit Aug. 8

MELBOURNE, FLA. — The Impact Business & Leadership Summit hosted by the Women’s Business Center at Florida Institute of Technology will offer high-level, professional business development opportunities for executives and entrepreneurs.

Held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 8 at the Melbourne Hilton Rialto, the event will feature headliner Sarah Lewis, an Oprah Top 20 “Power Lister,” 2014 TED Conference Speaker and author of “The Rise,” as well as other notable speakers and panelists, including U.S. Small Business Administration Office of Women’s Business Ownership Director Erin Andrew and Michelle Royal, founder of Royal Innovation Design Group.

A women’s leadership panel led by four distinguished Central Florida executives will discuss “Leadership: Confidence + Humility = Greatness” for women in the marketplace. Featuring four highly successful women leaders from diverse backgrounds, the panel includes Mary Spio, president and CEO of Next Galaxy Media; Michelle Naberhaus, an attorney and recent 4 under 40 Lead Brevard Award recipient; Shawna Vercher, executive director, My America; and moderator Leslie Hielema, vice president of Florida Tech’s Orlando Center.

“With speakers talking about essential topics for business success, this is an ideal event for purposeful networking for top-level executives, small-medium sized business owners and other business professionals from across Central Florida,” said Women’s Business Center Executive Director Beth Gitlin.

More than 300 attendees are expected, and corporate sponsorship opportunities remain available. Ranging from $500 – $5,000, the sponsorships include benefits such as branding recognition in advertising, vendor tables and VIP reception tickets.

Tickets are $85 per person and include lunch.
