DynCorp Exec to Speak on the Power of Words

Florida Tech’s Center for Ethics and Leadership Hosts Free Event Oct. 7

MELBOURNE, FLA. — The Center for Ethics and Leadership at Florida Institute of Technology’s Nathan Bisk College of Business presents a breakfast seminar Oct. 7 examining the impact and effect of language and culture in organizations.

“Good Words…Bad Words…What’s the Diff? The Effect of Culture and Language in an International Organization” will feature Joseph Balser, manager, IT Business Systems & Development at DynCorp International.

The public event runs from 7:45-9:30 a.m. at the Hartley Room on the second floor of the Denius Student Center on the Florida Institute of Technology’s Melbourne campus, 150 W. University Blvd. A continental breakfast will be served. Admission is free but registration is required.

During Balser’s 20-year career, he has worked in the Middle East, Latin America and Micronesia. His previous customers have included the Department of Defense, Drug Enforcement Agency, NASA, the Army, Navy and Coast Guard, and the National Reconnaissance Office, as well as numerous foreign governments.
