Hafer House Jazz to Perform at Foosaner Art Museum Dec. 5

MELBOURNE, FLA. — The sounds of holiday-inspired jazz will fill the air Friday as the Foosaner Art Museum presents Hafer House Jazz.

The performance, which is free to the public, takes place from 5:30-7:30 p.m. inside the Foosaner as the Eau Gallie Arts District celebrates its First Friday Art Walk and annual holiday tree lighting.

The Hafer family will travel from Zephyrhills, Fla., to perform jazz classics. Performing will be Mike Hafer, piano; Lorri Hafer, vocals; Paul Hafer, bass; and Dave Dunscombe, drums.

In addition to the holiday festivities, the Foosaner Art Museum has two exhibits on view through Jan. 4 — Carol Brown Goldberg: Recent Sculpture and Luminous Landscapes: Paintings by Larry Leach.

The Foosaner Art Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (the museum stays open until 7 p.m. Thursday); and Sunday, 1-5 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for seniors, children and students with I.D. Museum members and Florida Tech faculty, staff and students are free with I.D. Thursdays offer free admission all day.
