weVENTURE Announces Formation of League of Extraordinary Women

Group Will Focus on Mentoring Girls, Women in Business

MELBOURNE, FLA. — weVENTURE, the Central Florida-based organization focused on the entrepreneurial needs of women and powered by Florida Institute of Technology, is pleased to announce the establishment of the League of Extraordinary Women.

This group of 60 high-profile, female business executives, entrepreneurs and philanthropists is leading the way in interacting with Brevard County women and girls aspiring to start and grow their own business enterprises.

The League’s mission is to strengthen women-owned businesses, elevate women and girls in leadership roles and create new opportunities for personal and professional growth.

It is also working to identify opportunities for the area’s high-net-worth women to invest in promising female entrepreneurs who show business growth potential. Additionally, the League will provide unique mentoring opportunities for high school- and college-aged women.

“I am excited to be surrounded by the connected and influential group of women that has been selected to join the League,” said League Co-Founder Debbie Goode. “These women make a difference every day in our county, and as members of a common group with a common mission, we can all join efforts to make a real impact on our community.”

weVENTURE Executive Director Beth Gitlin added, “United in the League, these extraordinary and inspiring women will join forces to make an impact on future generations of ‘womenpreneurs,’ and their energy and enthusiasm will inspire us all.”
